Order Execution & Settlement

How fills create positions and resolved outcomes determine payouts.

Filled quantity and cost

In the simplified model, shares = committed amount / average fill price, before fees. An order instruction is not a completed trade: only confirmed fills belong in position accounting. Use actual fills rather than the best displayed price to calculate cost.

Binary payout model

For a resolved binary position, settlement = shares × R, where R is 1 for the winning outcome and 0 for the losing outcome. Buying 100 YES shares at 0.62 costs 62 units before fees; a YES result pays 100 units, while a NO result pays 0. All values are in the market’s denomination asset.

Resolution is separate from execution

A trade records exposure; it does not prove the eventual outcome. Markets may be closed but still awaiting resolution. Follow the applicable result source and final status before treating a displayed payout as settled or withdrawable.
